PacMoore began working with Partners Worldwide in December 2009. Partners Worldwide, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan connects North American businesses with world wide projects in low income communities. The focus of the partnership is to help eliminate poverty by promoting business development.
Sarah Palin just returned from Haiti and said the greatest need is for job opportunities for Haiti’s people. After two trips I have seen first hand in Uganda that poverty is caused primarily because people in low income communities do not have jobs that generate pay above the poverty line. There are millions of people working, but earning just enough to provide the minimum amount of food and water to survive. Most of these people can produce a product, but have never been organized into work groups and are not connected to markets. By becoming business partners, we can help get them organized and learn how to access to markets both locally and abroad.
We are organizing farmers in northern Uganda to produce amaranth to sell into a well established market in Kenya. There are vast amounts of fertile land and thousands of willing farmers ready to join this effort. The key to success is partnering with several local people who are willing to lead.
PacMoore invites you to join Partners Worldwide as we reach into the world community to alleviate poverty. We would ask you to consider not only supporting financially but also joining a project team.
God’s Blessings!
