PacMoore is excited to announce that the Company is involved in two award nominations at the BRC Food Safety Americas Awards this year. The event will take place at the Food Safety Americas Conference to be held in Tampa Florida April 4-8 2016. PacMoore is nominated for BRC Manufacturer of the Year and together with our Vice President of Food Safety and Quality Assurance, Evan Rosen, has been nominated for BRC Approved Training Partner of the year.
According to the BRC criteria, the BRC Manufacturer of the Year Award winner will be:
A BRC certificated supplier that has demonstrated excellence in developing and maintaining their BRC program, promoted BRC certification, and used BRC certification to enhance or grow their operations.
Our food manufacturing plants in Hammond and Mooresville, Indiana have been BRC Certified since 2009. In 2015, we achieved the newly established AA rating from the BRC at both locations. For 2016, PacMoore will participate in the unannounced audit program to bring our recognition to the next level.
With Evan Rosen as an approved Training Partner with the BRC, PacMoore has hosted training courses to continue to support the BRC Program and strengthen skills both internally and externally. According to the BRC award criteria, the winner of the Approved Training Partner and consultant of the year will be one who:
Shows on-going and dedicated support for the BRC Program and implementing BRC training or helping Stakeholders to implement and achieve BRC Certificate.
Evan has a passion for teaching and trains auditors internally as well as externally. Evan has over 16 years of experience in food manufacturing, food safety, and auditing in the private sector. He is an American Society for Quality (ASQ) certified HACCP and Quality auditor and has additional training and qualifications in Food Defense, ISO 22000 and SQF.
In addition to being considered for an award at the BRC conference, Evan will be speaking on Thursday, April 7. He plans to present a case study involving the implementation of a Food Fraud Vulnerability Assessment. Moreover, Evan will be conducting a training course on Friday April 8 following the conference.
