Exhibiting at or attending food industry trade shows is one of the most important ways that we can to stay on top of food trends and stay connected to our counterparts, customers, prospects, and competitors. They are also great places to showcase our food contract manufacturing services like food extrusion, spray drying, consumer packaging, dry blending, and re-packaging. The spring trade show season is booting up right now, so there’s no better time to start thinking about which shows you want to attend this year. We’ve planned our schedule in advance, so why not share it? We hope this is helpful to you. Don’t forget to stop in and say hi at the shows where we are exhibiting!
NOTE: The shows are in chronological order.
1. Natural Products Expo West & Southern California Section IFT Supplier’s Night Expo (March)
We’re counting these two shows as one since they’re essentially at the same time and place, and they happen to be coming up next week! The Natural Products Expo is probably the largest food industry expo in the US all year long. While we’re not exhibiting, we will be at the show connecting with people. There is a huge variety of food companies with amazing new products each year. The focus is mainly on natural & healthy foods.
You can find us exhibiting at booth 105 at the Southern California Section IFT Supplier’s Night Expo. This is a much more intimate gathering than the Natural Products Expo West but of all the regional IFT Supplier Nights, this is one of the biggest since it happens alongside Natural Products Expo West.
2. Snaxpo (April)
Snaxpo is just what it sounds like – it’s all about snacks. While not exhibiting this year, we wouldn’t miss this show with all of the innovative new snack products it showcases. Our ability to formulate practically any type of extruded food crisps positions us perfectly to supply either finished snacks or inclusions for them.
3. ProFood Tech (April)
A new food show taking place in Chicago, ProFood Tech should be an exciting event. You can find us at booth 2630. This show brings together food, dairy, beverage, equipment and services companies for a well-rounded and diverse event. The conference and educational seminars will add to the compelling event.
4. IFT17 (June)
The national IFT show is one of the largest U.S. food shows, and is always one of our favorites each year. IFT is an organization all about food technology, and so this show emphasizes breakthroughs in the world of food science. It also has a focus on global sustainability. All kinds of new products are competing for the Innovation Awards, so you’ll experience products that can’t be found anywhere else.
5. SupplySide West (September)
SupplySide West emphasizes ingredients for dietary supplements, pharmaceuticals, personal care and sports nutrition rather than traditional snacks and foods, though functional foods and beverages are present as well. A large expo in Vegas with excellent educational events, SupplySide West is one we don’t like to miss.
6. PLMA (November)
PLMA’s Private Label Trade Show is where retailers and wholesalers source for their private label programs. Exhibitors come in all shapes and sizes – from small and medium establishments to huge well-known companies. Products on display are not just food and beverage, but also home and health products.
