Huge Power Savings
LED is a highly energy efficient lighting technology, and has the potential to fundamentally change the future of lighting in the United States. By 2027, widespread use of LEDs could save about 348 TWh (compared to no LED use) of electricity: This is the equivalent annual electrical output of 44 large electric power plants (1000 megawatts each), and a total savings of more than $30 billion at today’s electricity prices.
Sustainable Cost-Savings of $100,000 Annually
PacMoore Products in Hammond and PacMoore Process Technologies in Mooresville are taking advantage of a unique program offered by Vivid Energies to significantly lower their energy usage and costs associated with lighting. Combined, the two PacMoore food contract manufacturing locations will reduce their energy usage by 62%, saving over 1 million KWH per year. This energy reduction will save PacMoore over $100,000 per year and over $1.2M over the life span of the new LED bulbs. This environmentally-sensitive approach and emphasis on long-term sustainability will help PacMoore control expenses and pass these savings along to their customers.
How to make the change to LED
For PacMoore’s switch to LED, Vivid Energies handles the entire process from initial lighting audit and energy rebate applications to product delivery and installation. The Vivid Energies team was able to secure 30% of the total project in rebate dollars from
PacMoore’s energy provider. This comprehensive approach will allow PacMoore to have an ROI time frame of just over 12 months. The offering that differentiates Vivid Energies from competitors is their self-financing program. This program allows PacMoore to pay for the lighting with the savings realized from the lighting throughout the ROI time frame. This leaves PacMoore in a positive cash flow position throughout the entire process. This unique program is offered to companies like PacMoore that have a mission to positively impact the lives of their employees, families and the people in their communities. Vivid Energies has laid out its mission to be a vehicle to assist companies that are bringing about positive change to the world. We couldn’t be happier to partner with PacMoore in northwest and Central Indiana!
