The Bible talks a lot about God’s glory. Many verses speak about His power, His majesty, His splendor and His holiness. There are also key reminders that when things go well we are not to take that glory for ourselves but we are to direct it back to God for He is the author of it. Psalm 115:1 says, “Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.” As we finished our time in Ethiopia we reminded ourselves of that critical fact. We truly thank God for His provision and for leading us through some wonderful meetings and opportunities here.
The past two days we continued our series of meetings with the Food Security Solutions team. We were warmly welcomed by the Ethiopian minister of foreign affairs, visited a local plant where a native Ethiopian lady has created a wonderful business making teff injera and concluded our visit by hosting a special dinner for some Ethiopian dignitaries. Following the dinner we were able to pray as a group and we certainly thank God for His continued grace and favor. We have lots of work to do before accomplishing our goal of opening a food processing plant here, but we see a path forward and sense God directing us along the way. We leave Ethiopia with hearts full for the people here and yet excited to see what is in store for us in Kenya as well!
